school in the sky

i’m opening
a school of fish
in the sky

they will learn
how to climb and fall
and let the currents
push them around

the tides will be gentle
and the water
so clear
the sun will not
hide its shine

we will move as one
and as the light
becomes a shadow
we will make sure
no-one has been left behind
