lovers (a painting by Charles Blackman)
eyes
downturned
hands
held loosely
with flowers
behind her back
darkness
between them
eyes
almost closed
hand
raised lightly
against her arm
light
falls on her cheek
a poem is a lump of wood that holds the door open - GRANT MORGAN

It would be interesting to see what painters would come up with if you gave them that poem to paint - without telling them the source.
